Google Adsense finally reveals the revenue split for Google and the publishers.
Google Adsense Revenue Share. We are so thankful that Google finally broke the ice of silence about the revenue share for us publishers. This was declared in their Google Adsense official blog.
According to Google Adsense blog, Google stated that:
- Adsense for Content – revenue share for publishers is 68% of the total revenue while the remaining 32% will go to Google. To make this simple, for every $100 spent by the advertiser to Google Adwords, $68 will eventually go to the publisher while the remaining $32 will go to Google.
- Adsense for Search – the revenue split is 51% : 49%, divided by publishers and Google respectively. To simplify this, if an Google Adword advertiser spend $100, $51 will be the share of the publisher and $49 will go to Google.
Google shared a very important and precious information to us publishers. Now our thoughts are clear, we now have a clear idea about our share with Google in their very popular Adsense advertising program.
Google is encouraging us to focus on the total revenue generated from our site, rather than just revenue share, which they say, can be misleading.
Google stated that:
For example, you would receive $68 with AdSense for content for $100 worth of advertising that appeared on your site. If another ad network offers an 80% revenue share, but is only able to collect $50 from ads served on your site, you would earn $40. In this case, a higher revenue share wouldn’t make up for the lower revenue yield of the other ad network.
I hope that because of Google’s Adsense revenue share revelation we can be a better Google Adsense publisher. Good luck and have fun making money online!
